Week 4
How are you doing everybody? I hope you all are fine. I am sorry for not posting post for a long time. I was quite busy with papers and other assignments. I am here again. Firstly, I want to say hello to you all. Today I would like to share about my IT experiences for week 4. The topic for this week is Information System. System is a set of elements or components. System has input, processing mechanism, output and feedback.
There are 5 types of IS.
They are,
TPS @ Transaction Processing System
DSS @ Decision Support System
ESS @ Expert Support System
MIS @ Management Information System
OAS @ Office Automation System.
The 6 components of CBIS are
People
Procedure
Telecommunication
Database
Software and
Hardware.
Computer hardware components include devices that perform
Input, processing, output, and storage.
Storage holds data, instruction and information for future use.
The components responsible for processing are Memory and CPU.
It's also known as the program.
Categories of software
System software (e.g- Window 7, Embedded OS)
Application software (Database, Word processing, CAD, Multimedia)
Programming language (Low0-level-language, High-level-language(cobol,C++,C#)
Database
Organized collection of interrelated data (Records)
So, record can be retrieved easily.

System Programmers

System Analyze & Design
Procedures
Strategies, policies, rules for using computer IS including operation, security and maintenance of the computer.
